Super Blasty Blasty

Super Blasty Blasty was my first officially released app under the Chambers Games moniker on the Google Play Store, it was developed over the course of several weeks and served as a learning project. The core idea was to make a quick score attack game with incredibly tight controls. This goal was achieved with the ship controls being the star of the game however everything else remains relatively simple. Based on my experiences creating Super Blasty Blasty I would definitely look at creating more mobile applications with Unity3D.

I took a lot of cues from games such as Asteroids, Galaxian, Space Invaders and other score attack shooters from the 80s and 90s. Many features I had planned for this project ended up being out of scope for the deadline I had enforced and never got incorporated. The features I did develop however were done in such a way as to be extremely reusable for other projects to save time in the future rewriting any features that I had already written. Things such as twitter sharing, menu systems, saving/loading data are all trivial to use in any upcoming projects.

There are too many improvements to list and there are currently no plans to update Super Blasty Blasty. However the game did an excellent job in serving its purpose as a learning project to introduce me to the Google Play Store, Android development and AdMob services.
